The decision to choose home education (also known as home schooling) is a brave one, with every family making their own decision for their own reasons. We want to support you in home educating your child through GCSE/IGCSE science, maths or A-level biology.
For parents and guardians, helping with maths and science subjects can feel daunting, especially if you haven’t studied these subjects since school – so we want to help you and your child.
Here are some of our popular home education options:
Parent and child home education sessions at IGCSE / GCSE
We offer you and your child the chance to have online tutoring sessions together. These sessions are often productive and fun. We will move through the taught course at a pace to suit you, discuss homework and exam technique and strategies for supporting your child between sessions.
As a parent, you can be as involved as you like. Often parents enjoy the refresher on IGCSE / GCSE science or maths, giving you confidence to help your child outside of lessons. It’s technically two-to-one tutoring! But the fee is the same as one-to-one 🙂 As a guide, often families have tutoring sessions once or twice a week.
Obviously if your child would rather take charge of their home education, we can work with them one-to-one too. The important thing is that they’re comfortable and happy.
We provide home education for exam boards like Oxford AQA, CIE and Edexcel in these IGCSE/GCSE subjects:
- IGCSE / GCSE biology
- IGCSE / GCSE chemistry
- IGCSE / GCSE physics
- IGCSE combined science
- IGCSE / GCSE maths
Home education sessions at A-level and International A-level
Typically these are one-to-one online sessions with the A-level biology student (but parents or guardians are welcome to join too). We can also provide help and advice on reading and revision materials, exam technique and arrangements for the “practical endorsement” or CPAC, UCAS and university applications. Often tutoring sessions are once or twice a week.
- We specialise in providing home education for A-level biology with exam boards like Oxford AQA, CIE and Edexcel. (Often students combine one-to-one sessions with our weekly AQA A-level biology masterclass)
